Reading Section: Vocabulary Practice
  • Begin the vocabulary packet.
  • Due Tomorrow.

Grammar Section: Review Agreement(complete what we did not get to)

Pronoun and Antecedent Agreement

Writing Section: 3-Part Source Integration
  • Review how to write a 3-part source integration
    • A three sentence statement that includes
      • title of the text
      • the author's name
      • author's information
      • source material either paraphrased or directly quoted
      • brief statement why it's important
    • Example: In "Ethanol's Failed Promise," Lester Brown and Johnathan Lewis, two environmental activists, claim that food-to-fuel mandates causing damage to our environment (par. 3). This is important because as America moves toward energy independence it must be vigilant to ensure that new energy sources do not cause new problems.
  • Have students begin to fill out their 3-part source integration with the article "Social Media Butterflies".
    • Have students share with the class.

Reading Section: Romeo and Juliet, Act 2, sc. 4-6 (This can be divided up for the break)
  • Read along with the CD
  • Explain/interpret.
  • Watch the film version of the scene.
  • Give students time to do their summaries

Grammar Section: Pronoun Usage (We skipped this from 7/22)


Reading Section: Dialectical Journal
  • Give students time to add to their dialectical journal
  • Review/emphasize importance of each part
    • Phone calls will be made again if progress is not made
